<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The results of treatment of localized (early) pancreatic cancer are unsatisfactory despite all achievements of modern clinical and surgical oncology. Nevertheless, certain success was achieved even in these extremely unfavorable patients regarding their prognosis. The authors analyzed evolution of adjuvant therapy, as well as new concepts in the treatment of borderline resectable and resectable pancreatic cancer. Modern anticancer therapy with acceptable toxicity profile significantly improved the outcomes. However, further research is needed to improve the effectiveness of treatment despite favorable current results.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>поджелудочная железа</kwd><kwd>рак</kwd><kwd>адъювантная терапия</kwd><kwd>неоадъювантная терапия</kwd><kwd>резектабельность</kwd><kwd>отдаленные результаты</kwd><kwd>выживаемость</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>pancreas</kwd><kwd>cancer</kwd><kwd>adjuvant therapy</kwd><kwd>neoadjuvant therapy</kwd><kwd>resectability</kwd><kwd>long-term results</kwd><kwd>survival</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Neoptolemos J.P., Dunn J.A., Stocken D.D., Almond J., Link K., Beger H., Bassi C., Falconi M., Pederzoli P., Dervenis C., Fernandez-Cruz L., Lacaine F., Pap A., Spooner D., Kerr D.J., Friess H., Büchler M.W.
